PUBLIC TRIPS

As an alternative to the high passenger load of party fishing boats, the “Island Girl” offers parties, couples, and individuals to share the experience of a more personalized sport fishing trip, similar to a private fishing charter without the cost of chartering the entire boat.

Enjoy the qualities of an individual sport fishing charter boat along with the convenience of a party (head) or public fishing boat regular schedule, and individual per person price.  Our trips normally carry between 12 to18 persons with the average trip of about a dozen persons.

Our Sportfishing Head Trip offers:

• An alternative to party boats, smaller number of persons
• Shorter ride, more fishing, ability to fish smaller and more frequent spots to target bigger fish
• Quality and light tackle, better standard bait included
• Shorter day, return earlier, personalized fish cleaning through our first mate
• Trolling, drifting, and bottom fishing, (live bait, quality dead bait, artificial lures and chum included)
• Variety of surface game fish available about 9 months of the year on our full day trips.
• Personalized service from our Owner/Captain and our skilled , experienced, and friendly First Mate

 Year- Round Pricing & Schedule  - The rates below are based on a minimum of 12 persons necessary to run trip.

Deep Sea/Offshore Oil Platform (Rig Fishing)/8 hour trip

Monday/Wednesday –up to 30 miles, Gulf of Mexico.  Trips depart at 7:00 a.m. and return at 3:00 p.m.  $125 per person.

Bay & Jetty Fishing/4 hour trip 

Tuesday – 4 – 8 miles in Galveston Bay and Galveston Jetties.  Morning trips depart at 8:00 a.m. and return at 12:00 p.m.  Afternoon trips depart at 1:00 p.m. and return at 5:00 p.m.  $50 per person.

Note: Deep Sea public trips that are occasionally run on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays (limited availability) are $125 per person.

The above trips may also be run on other days of the week based on time of year, demand for early booking of private charters on public days, and availability.  We have limited availability for public trips on other days from our public trip schedule during our peak season (May 1-Oct 31).

We have great availability for all the above public trips on most days during our off-peak season (Nov 1-Feb 28).
